From a very young age I was drawn to animals. It didn’t matter what kind. When I was a child, I would frequently “rescue” the neighbourhood cats, and upon my mother’s insistence would have to put them back outside. My very first pet was a cat (still the best cat ever) named Little Buddy. I think I always knew that I would work with animals in some capacity.
I was born in Cape Breton but grew up in Dartmouth NS. I graduated in 2001 with my diploma for Veterinary Assistant and after my graduation, I worked at two animal hospitals in the Halifax area until our move in 2012. Following the birth of my second child in 2014, I decided to stay home, to be with my children in their early years.
In 2018, I joined the team of Mountain Road Animal Hospital, a decision I don’t regret. The ladies here welcomed me with open arms and every day I get to go to work doing what I love, helping animals. I love working in what feels like a family setting, and working alongside like-minded people, who have one common goal, to heal and enrich the lives of our patients.
I’m always up to try something new but my favorite thing is my time spent with family and friends. I currently reside in Moncton with my husband and our two children, our cat, Rohan and dog, Banner.
With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we are pleased to advise that effective May 4, 2020 the restrictions on veterinary practices have been lifted. Based on these changes, below are some important updates to our operating policies.
1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!
2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
Continue our "closed waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff. When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call 506.382.0061. We will take a history of your pet's health and discuss any concerns. A staff member will then meet you outside to bring your pet into the hospital for an examination. The Veterinarian will call you to discuss the recommended treatment plan. After your appointment, a staff member will return your pet to you outside, and take care of any needed medications and payment.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
3. OPERATING HOURS
We are OPEN with the following hours:
