I always knew that one day I wanted to work with animals but I never knew how or what I could do to get there. When I was in high school, I did my co-op at the Magnetic Hill Zoo and I got the chance to work with the veterinary technician there. She showed me that being a veterinary technician is what I really wanted to do for the rest of my life. So, I went back to high school to upgrade my courses, started volunteering at Mountain Road Animal Hospital and then studied at Oulton College. Upon graduation in June 2016, I joined the Mountain Road Animal Hospital team. I have always enjoyed Mountain Roan Animal Hospital - I volunteered here and I bring my animals here. The staff are really supportive and patient and are always willing to take time and teach me new things. And of course, I love all the cute patients that I get to see! A fun fact about me is that I love tacos! Also, my first pet was a miniature poodle and her name is Bubbles!
My dog Pickle just loves his trips to the vet, the staff here are heart and you don't have to…
With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we are pleased to advise that effective May 4, 2020 the restrictions on veterinary practices have been lifted. Based on these changes, below are some important updates to our operating policies.
1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!
2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
Continue our "closed waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff. When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call 506.382.0061. We will take a history of your pet's health and discuss any concerns. A staff member will then meet you outside to bring your pet into the hospital for an examination. The Veterinarian will call you to discuss the recommended treatment plan. After your appointment, a staff member will return your pet to you outside, and take care of any needed medications and payment.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
